Giving birth to 2 models declined in different colors, it’s the natural rubber sole and recycled plastic boot from both supporting a belt-made leg (element dear to Jeanne Friot DNA) which fits the new Joan of Arc, carrying the official Olympic flag. Developed by two dedicated brands for a more inclusive and sustainable fashion, these XXL Silver Boots supported one of the key figures of the 2024 Olympic Games of Paris ceremony : Joan of Arc. Far for giving a classical acceptance of hers, the comity makes her, by choosing this collaboration, deeply current and in echo with the current social situation the brands defend: a progressist woman for a progressist society. From Austerlitz bridge until Trocadéro, she is THE character bringing the Olympic flag and setting the beginning of the Games, the most powerful symbol of a 3-hours show honoring a France very anchored in her time, caring about its problematics.

About both x Jeanne Friot AW24-25 collab

Courtney Love, Patti Smith, Joan of Arc, Kurt Cobain, Grace Jones, Madonna... aliens, strong women, scorned muses, sacrificed queer people have been articulated in Jeanne Friot's army since its beginnings, they are political and cultural people who speak, who struggle: in an Time where young creation is constantly fighting to exist and think of new systems of representation, in an era where homophobia and transphobia are taking hold in France, and at a time when far-right parties are sharpening their weapons.

The collaboration between both and Jeanne Friot's SS25, “Idols” was obvious: being an idol means allowing everyone to be able to proudly wear their identity and to shout it loud and clear. Without distinction of gender or price, both offers a wide choice of sizes in its ranges with sizing from 35 to 46 then allowing anyone to express their own style and identity. “With them, we rebel, we invent ourselves, we learn to love and love ourselves. It’s very intimate and at the same time universal. These rights, unguaranteed, and yet so essential, must be defended. Again, always.” (Jeanne Friot). 2 pieces were created for this collaboration and will be on sale at the price of €1,200.

About both AW24 Collection

Large sizing, sustainability, rubber...b o t h DNA is about going against status quo, and this season this anti-conformism is also presented through material and shapes. This season, the GAO is channelling the fashion style of grunge bands such as The Breeders, PJ Harvey, Sonic Youth. Captured throughout the works of legendary photographers, Collier Schorr and Gilbert Blecken, their rebellious and non-conformist spirit, is more than ever in resonance with the mood of the times :

RE:RE

The name of the new RE:RE sole came from restart, reborn and renew. Evolving from b o t h’s signature GAO sole, RE:RE has a sophisticated silhouette and is much flatter than GAO with a rounder toe cap. The sole is made of lightweight EVA with contrasted rubber inserts in the heel to create a colour blocking aesthetic. The new take on the sole makes it very light and easy to walk in, embedded with an anti-slip characteristic. Another new feature in the RE:RE collection is the distinctive metal moth ornament, used to adorn the moccasin loafer, moccasin boot and maryjane highlighting the moth, symbol of rebirth and novelty. The RE:RE shoes were inspired by the pacific northwest << slacker style >>. Through extensive vintage research into 90s footwear, the line aims to translate the authenticity key to the Seattle look, in the footsteps of cult footwear designers such as Steven Madden, Patrick Cox and Calvin Klein.
